• Talented science lover, chromatography believer and loyal Van Deemter follower 

• Deep scientific understanding and practical know-how of separation and characterization of oligonucleotide and peptide therapeutics (TIDES) 

• Proven (U)HPLC method development skills for ASOs, siRNA, mRNA-related modalities, conjugated oligonucleotides, therapeutic peptides and emerging TIDES modalities 

• Strong interest in tackling scientifically challenging separations where conventional solutions do not always exist 

• Knowledge of Design of Experiments (DOE) and Analytical Quality by Design (AQbD) is definitely a plus 

• Metal-sensitive oligos? Bring it on! Active surfaces? Hard pass! 

• RPLC, IEX, HILIC, SEC and IP-RPLC are not just abbreviations but conversation starters 

• Knowledge of mass spectrometry is a plus  

• Oligonucleotides, peptides and related impurities are your favorite study objects 

• Hands-on experience with data processing using vendor or other software 

• Able to interpret complex data and link results across experiments/methodologies 

• Good insights in the biotech and pharma landscape (technical, scientific, regulatory, commercial)  

• Passion for innovation, out-of-the-box thinking and technology improvement 

• Critical mindset, strong ownership, and attention to quality and detail 

• Team player, customer-oriented, problem-solving mindset, flexible attitude 

• Excellent communication and reporting skills, including review capabilities 

• Able to multitask and tackle complex scientific questions independently 

• Comfortable interacting with customers (scoping, technical discussions, presenting results) 

• Thrive in an environment with high responsibility and scientific ownership  

• Experience in coaching colleagues is a strong asset 

• Ph.D. in chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology, pharmacy or equivalent qualification through experience 

• For Scientist: minimum 3 years experience 

• For Senior Scientist: minimum 8 years experience 

• Fluent in English (written & oral) 

• You develop and apply analytical methodologies for the separation, analysis and in-depth characterization of oligonucleotide and peptide therapeutics 

• You handle complex and scientifically challenging projects for our biotech and pharma partners 

• You design and plan experiments, process data, capture findings in reports and communicate results to customers 

• You contribute to solving complex analytical challenges where limited prior knowledge or established methodologies are available by implementing and evaluating novel analytical technologies and methodologies 

• You apply AQbD principles to analytical method development 

• You manage multiple complex studies simultaneously 

• You help establish new scientific capabilities and analytical strategies within the rapidly evolving TIDES field 

• You coach and support team members, ensuring high-quality execution and reporting standards  

• You collaborate closely with colleagues to ensure strong project planning and execution 

• You align with management and commercial teams on strategic and technical decisions 

• You provide regular updates to customers on project progress and next steps 

• You contribute to training and knowledge sharing within your field of expertise 

• You report to the Team Lead
